M iphone will not automatically capitalize i. I have gone to settings and auto-capitalization is turned on. It does automatically capitalize after a period, but not at any other time. I’ve tried turning off auto-capitalize, then restarting my phone, but no luck. What now?

Based on the steps that you've already tried, if having issues with the letter "i" not capitalizing automatically, we'd like to have you try resetting your keyboard dictionary with the steps shown here: Return iPhone settings to their defaults - Apple Support
1. Go to Settings> General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset.
2. Choose an option:
- Reset Keyboard Dictionary: You add words to the keyboard dictionary by rejecting words iPhone suggests as you type. Resetting the keyboard dictionary erases only the words you’ve added.
