macOS 13.2 mail attachment at the end is not possible automatically

Since updating to macOS 13.2 yesterday, attachments can not automatically be placed at the end of an email after writing the mail text (although "attachments always inserting at the end of the mail" in the mail edit menu is activated). Rather, the attachments are placed directly below the mail text and above any signature or above any text of an email it is responded to.

This is a new bug in macOS 13.2, which was not present in macOS 13.1.

I get the same thing. However, I rarely use the paperclip button to add attachments. I always drag them to the position in the email I prefer.

However, the menu option reads as follows:

Which would precede the signature.

Tell Apple what missing features you'd like restored or new features added to the system via Feedback - macOS - Apple.
