HOW TO REDUCE PDF DOC FILE SIZE SCANNED WITH MY IPHONE

the pdf file size of docs scanned from either the Note or File App on my iphone XR is now recently much large unlike a few days before . Same doc now scanned now has a file size of 5MB as against previous size of 1.3MB !

how can i reduce this size please ?

iPhone XR, iOS 16
