Apple Watch unable to send out text

No a Watch cannot sent a SMS Text. It can send an imessage to another iPhone user only.

Are you sure the Watch is connected to Wi-Fi? If you go to Wi-Fi w=settings while the phone is off and click on the router name does it say "Forget this network" (connected) or ask for a password (Not connected)

To reiterate, Apple Watch without a cellular feature and a valid cellular plan cannot sent SMS Texts without the iPhone nearby. If you have a cellular watch and plan then contact the provider.

Turn on the iphone and in settings...

Settings, Messages, Turn off iMessage 

Settings, Face Time, Turn off Face Time 

Restart the phone. 

Settings, Messages, Turn on iMessage, SMS, MMS 

Settings, Messages, send & Receive, select your apple ID which should now be there. 

Settings, Face Time, Turn on Face Time 

Then with the Wi-Fi

Reset the Router to factory settings (check the manual)

Then On iphone Settings, General, Transfer iphone or reset, reset, reset network settings

If you have a VPN you are strongly recommended to uninstall it and its profile in Settings, General, VPN and device management

If still no joy

Unpair and set up again

and then

Set up your Apple Watch – Apple Support (UK)

Text messages (eg to Android users) require cellular connection.

iMessages require wi-fi to Apple users only but does work when iPhone is off (I just tested it to make sure)

thats not working to my apple watch series 7.what should i do now?
