Long time owner of Apple TV…..for some reason when I use voice search speaking into Apple Remote ..:/it only searches via Siri rather than the search function within individual apps. For examples..::.when. Speak a search into YouTube ….it does not search within YouTube but does general Siri search. Again…:.just started doing this in past few days.

Thanks for choosing the Apple Support Communities. When searching using the Siri Remote in app, you would want to first go to the search field, click on it, then press and hold the Siri button. Below is a little more about how to do that.
