When I ask Siri to set an alarm in my I-phone 8 she tells me I don’t have the alarm app but it is factory installed under my clock app. It worked just fine last week.

Hello discussapplequestii,

We want to help get this taken care of. Can you clarify what you've seen regarding the Clock app? Did it get removed?

Delete built-in Apple apps from the Home Screen on your iOS 14 or later or iPadOS device or Apple Watch and follow the quoted steps below:

Restore a built-in app that you deleted
1. On your iOS or iPadOS device, go to the App Store.
2. Search for the app. Make sure that you use the exact name of the app.
3. Tap the Redownload button .
4. Wait for the app to restore, then open it from your Home Screen.
If you have an Apple Watch, restoring an app to your iPhone also restores that app to your Apple Watch.

We hope this gets the Clock app working for Siri.

Cheers.

I just had Siri tell me the same thing, but I have always had the Clock on my phone have never removed it.

The situation was without unlocking my phone I asked Siri to set an alarm, to which it replied I didn’t have the alarm app. I unlocked the phone, used Siri to set the alarm, all good. Locked the phone and tried again, worked fine.

One thing that may have affected it is I recently installed McAffee VPN, though I can’t see how that would affect Siri itself.
