do i need satellite direct tv to watch apple tv?
I had access to ESPN+ via AppleTV through Direct TV. I canceled Direct TV. Can I still watch ESPN+?

If you subscribed to ESPN+ through ESPN directly, then you only need the ESPN app and an internet connection.
If you subscribed to ESPN+ with payment through Apple, then you need the ESPN app on an Apple device, and an internet connection.
If you subscribed to ESPN+ as part of a TV provider package, then you wouldn’t have access to that anymore when you canceled. You can of course start a new subscription elsewhere.
