iPad not recognizing email address

I have been using this mail account on my iPad for years. I was asked to enter my new password and once I did, it will no longer accept my email address. I'm not finding any reasonable fix for this on the internet. This appears to be an iPad issue, since my 11 pro phone has had no such problem. Help, please?

Perhaps you need to contact your email provider.
