It has been a long slog getting everything working on my new MacBook Air (M1, 2020) and porting the data from my old 2013 Mac Mini to MacOS 12. Now I see that there is a MacOS 13. Should I go ahead and upgrade or am I just looking for trouble?

I'm using macOS 13 Ventura on the same model 2020 M1 MacBook Air and it works fine. No issues here.
It's always a good idea to keep macOS updated as it fixes issues, patches vulnerabilities and enhances security.
