2012 MacBook Pro keeps crashing since battery replacement

Since replacing the battery in my mid-2012 Macbook Pro it repeatedly crashes without notice and does not always reboot from the power button. It mostly reboots on a PRAM restart but fails again shortly after.

Re-install of OS does not appear to alter this random crashing.

Did Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider replace the battery?

If yes, contact them again, repairs done by them are also covered by a short warranty period.

Only Apple replaces batteries with original parts, 3rd party repair shops can't get those.

Sadly, Apple authorised repairers are thin on the ground in my location and I have resorted to a repairer who specialises in Apple products without the overheads involved in accreditation. Also the laptop is quite old anyway and no longer supports latest OS.

I thought someone may have a fix that didn't require me to go back to the repairer but thanks for your thoughtfulness.

I had the batteries serviced in my MacBook Pro 2012 by an Authorized Appel Service Provider. Due to the age of the device, Apple agreed to let them replace it with a 3rd party battery. But they had to try 3 different brands, until the MacBook Pro "accepted" one of those products and worked without any issues.

This MacBook Pro has macOS 10.15.7 Catalina installed, which is the latest supported macOS version for this model.
