How do I open an older iPhoto Library.photolibrary on my new Mac running Ventura
This is pretty lame. I have a new Macbook Pro because my old one was stolen. This one has Ventura. Everything is cloud backed up with Dropbox, but when I go to open the file, I am told I need to import it. So I do, then am told that I need to open it from Finder to covert the library so I do this and I get:
The library version for “iPhoto Library.photolibrary” is not supported. It can be opened with macOS Monterey (version 12) or earlier. Alternatively, you can use Library Import to add photos from one library into another.
Really, open it with maxOS Monterey on my new Mac. This is beyond stupid.
This is why I stopped using Apple iTunes (now Music) and Photos a long time ago. You can not trust Apple.
Hopefully someone can help me figure this out because I am certainly not going to down grade my new M1 to Monterey, and I dont happen to have another Macbook lying around.
