Wi-Fi Calling icon does not appear while making Phone call

Hi Guys,

I have been verifying the Wi-Fi calling feature on iPhone 13, but even after enabling the feature under Setting>>>Phone>>>Wi-Fi Calling, the wifi calling icon does not appear on the top bar.

I have tested it on iOS 15 and upgraded phone to iOS 16 as well, but the icon does not appear.

Let me know if I missed anything from setting, or it seems to be a bug.

Do not take picture seriously (:;), Wi-Fi was turned off during the screenshot, but while making calls Wi-Fi was turned on.

Thank you

iPhone 13

Hey VJChachu,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Make sure you are checking the right place for Wi-Fi calling status. As mentioned in Make a call with Wi-Fi Calling, "If Wi-Fi Calling is available, you’ll see "Wi-Fi" in the status bar while viewing Control Center. Then your calls will use Wi-Fi Calling."

If you are still unable to see Wi-Fi in the Control Center, use the following section from the same article above.

"If Wi-Fi Calling isn't working

If you can't turn on or use Wi-Fi Calling, make sure that your carrier offers Wi-Fi Calling and that your devices have the latest software. Then, follow these steps if you can't turn on Wi-Fi Calling or make a Wi-Fi call. Wait two minutes before you go from one step to the next.

  1. Go to Settings > Phone > Wi-Fi Calling and make sure that Wi-Fi Calling is on.
  2. Restart your iPhone.
  3. Connect to a different Wi-Fi network. Not all Wi-Fi networks work with Wi-Fi Calling.
  4. Turn Wi-Fi Calling off and then on again.
  5. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset.
  6. Tap Reset Network Settings."

All the best.

All the best.
