Previous AirPods Owner didn’t disconnect their Apple ID from their AirPods

Last week, I bought a Pair of AirPods Pro 2nd Gen from Best Buy. I will also add that they were refurbished and they arrived this week. So when I got them I paired them immediately but I saw it said it was still connected to somebody’s Apple ID. And I reset it and I thought it worked but then, this morning I wake up and it says the owner can see my location. Please help me.

Hi Slay_mama_poo_poo, We appreciate you reaching out to us. Because of the nature of this issue, it is best to get in touch with Best Buy to look into your refund or exchange options. The notification you are receiving means that the AirPods Pro that you purchased is still associated with the previous owner's Apple ID.

You can learn more about it in the article below.

What to do if you get an alert that an AirTag, Find My network accessory, or set of AirPods is with you

Take care!
