During dark scenes my Apple TV picture will fade/wash out to faded grey color and then back as the scene brightens. The apps on the TV (a 65”Samsung QN900a) play the same content fine as well as other streaming devices this seems to be limited to my AppleTV 4k.

Hello, thanks for the questions. I’ve noticed it on the AppleTV app, HBOMax app, and Hulu app. I’ve never experienced it on YouTubeTV app which I use as much as these 3. The current tvOS is 16.2 (20k362)

Have you had a chance to connect your Apple TV to a different TV to see if the issue continues there?
Have you also had a chance to test your HDMI cable and connect to all available HDMI ports on your TV to see you notice any difference?

The issue is limited to this TV. I can't seem to replicate the issue on other TVs I happen to have - so I'd say it is this an AppleTV and this TV issue. Additionally, I have plugged another AppleTV into this TV and it did have the same issue
I've tried the other HDMI ports and other HDMI cables - issue still exists
