If it qualifies, then yes according to Apple, make certain you have a good backup or two...

Thank you. I just installed an external hard drive yesterday and backed up time machine. Do you think that will be sufficient? I do not know anything about updates and backs up. Carbonite is not working because it's no longer compatible (another reason for an upgrade) and of course, none of my Adobe products can be upgraded due to the old operating system.
