Airplay unable to connect
I been getting this pop up message on my Lock Screen saying airplay unable to connect to my Apple TV. Only thing is I’m not trying to airplay anything, but it keeps happening. Anyone else seeing this?

Thanks for the reply. My phone is up to date. I have restarted it a few times. I’m not even trying to use airplay at all. It just happens randomly
I appreciate the input, but that seems a little unlikely. The devices my phone is trying to connect to, when it is actually locked, are my AppleTVs and HomePods. Inconsistent which one it tries to connect to. The devices are current and automatically updated. considering that input, would you still believe this to be an issue.
Another input is that when I am actually wanting to airplay to one of these devices, I have no problems doing so.
Hello mkstretch,
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We see you have some questions about AirPlay and using your iPhone, and we'd like to help. Does restarting your phone help with this? Restart your iPhone
If not, make sure your device is updated, with help here: Update your iPhone or iPad By keeping your device updated, the recommend settings are on your device, and may help with what you're seeing.
Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly
1) Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2) Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3) Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4) If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5) Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.
Let us know if this helps.
Regards.
Hi mkstretch,
Thanks for confirming that. Is your Apple TV up to date as well? Updating the Apple TV can also potentially resolve unexpected behavior. Here are instructions:

Cheers!
I have been having this problem for months. All my devices are auto updating so that in not the issue. I have been concern that it is sone form of virus. Would love a solution.
Go to general->airplay and handoff and turn everything off. These settings seem to have shown up in a recent update and default to on.
