I’m texting on my iPhone with a friend who has an Android phone. Our conversation thread is very long, and I don’t want to delete it but I want to start a new thread. Is this possible?
i tried to create a new contact for her, but given that it’s the same phone number as before, it doesn’t show up in Messages as a new contact.

Unfortunately, you cannot start different message threads for the same phone number. If you try to start a conversation with a number that already has a conversation thread running, the message will start in that thread.
