Apple Carplay repeating Whatsapp messages

Hi, I've been having this issue with whatsapp while using carplay for l quite awhile now. When I get a message on Whatsapp, carplay will read it out to me as normal. However,if I get another message it will read out all the previous messages before reading the new message. This is very annoying with long group conversations.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

CarPlay not reading WhatsApp messages Yesterday I noticed that CarPlay wasn’t reading out my WhatsApp messages. The notification pops up on screen, and when I tap it, WhatsApp opens and then it just says ‘would you like to reply?’ It’s like CarPlay thinks it’s read out the message but it hasn’t. I can’t see the name of the person the message is from, but everything else appears normal. And I can reply successfully. I can also send messages successfully. It’s just the reading out of incoming messages that doesn’t work. I’ve updated the WhatsApp app to the latest version - although I only did this after it stopped working. And I’m running the latest version of iOS. I’ve also checked the ‘announcement’ settings for WhatsApp and CarPlay and they look fine. Any help would be appreciated…

CarPlay stopped reading WhatsApp messages Up until a couple of weeks ago everything on CarPlay working fine. Now CarPlay shows red dot to show I have new WhatsApp message. Ask CarPlay to read message and Siri just says do you want to reply, without reading the message ? I can still compose and send a new message and reply to the incoming message, Siri just won’t read the new incoming message ? as far as I know I haven’t changed any settings on my phone or on CarPlay. i have deleted the phone from the car, deleted the car from the phone, deleted an re-installed WhatsApp, still same issue ?
