VHS digitizer to MacBook Pro M1

Hey all so I have this Formac Studio Digitizer (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265771404110)

which i was using about 15 years ago. Worked perfectly fine with older Macs i once owned. Now with the M1 running Ventura, was wondering if anyone is still using this digitzer, or can recommend a card that is guaranteed to work with the M1.

The Formac had a Firewire 400 port, and have been reading various commentaries, saying that capture cards, will require at least two adapters to get it to the USB-c port. Was wondering if anyone had a tried and tested solution with preferably the Formac, but even if there was another digitizer on the market, i would be willing to try as long as it works. i did try it out a cheaper Digitizer called EasyCap, which works with QT on the M1, but the sound is badly distorted. Any help would be appreciated.
