I currently use a Yubikey as a smart card to login to my computer. I also use the TouchID for several functions like passwords. The problem however is that using the smart card/pin does not seem to unlock the TouchID for me. Is there a way to make the smart card login count to the periodic password requirement for the TouchID?

If I had to guess I would say there is a conflict of interest here...
However an appropriate question for your third party product—
if in doubt search the developers website or contact their: Support/Help/FAQ/Known issues/compatibility/updates

I am not really sure why there is a conflict of interest here. And to be clear there is no issue with the Yubikey. MacOS allows you to use a smartcard of any sort to login, and in my case this is working fine. Separately, if you want to use TouchID for anything (including Apple Pay, autofill passwords, etc) MacOS requires you to unlock the computer specifically with a password periodically. My question is can I configure the smart card login to also count to unlock the TouchID since I never use the password to unlock the computer.
