Can't transfer a large file from Ipad Pro to PC

I created a video in iMovie that lasted 27 minutes. I saved it to Photos. When I tried to put it on my PC via cable everything but the film appeared. I went back to the Photos app and the film did not play. Also all the other films in the app no longer played.

Apple support tech said to try saving as a file and going through icloud. This took over an hour and crashed the myicloud.com website.

Deleting the large film file from the Photos app immediately allowed the other film clips to start working normally again.

Hoping for good suggestions.

A possible solution..

I thought maybe the length of the clip was the issue so I save the film to files and put it into iMovie and edited it into quarters. I then saved them to photos by the normal method except after touching the box/upward arrow symbol to bring the "save video" I also clicked the options box near the top and saved it at 720p HD. All the clips saved and played without corrupting the other video files.

I also noticed some parts of the film had the default option of saving in 4k but others didn't (possibly because of the clips being filmed on other cameras and imported to the iPad) and only showed 720p HD as an option to save at.

I then tried saving the whole original film at 720p HD and not only did it save but it didn't corrupt the other files and also saved to my Windows 10 PC via usbc-usb cable. I opened it in video editor (oddly I couldn't find it in photos) and saved it as a windows film and it played back on my laptop just fine.

Apple techs take note. Saving the film to a consistent resolution might just be a very fast fix.
