Once I upgraded to Monterey I keep getting the error. I deleted & re-added my Apple email accounts to mail and it worked for a few checks, then error reappeared and doesn't go away. All other email accounts work fine (Outlook, Gmail, etc).

Greetings bernice97,

Here are some steps to take if your iCloud email isn’t working - If iCloud Mail isn't working. An IMAP server is the server used for receiving email. Are you having any issues sending mail?

If you can't receive mail in the Mail app on your Mac
1. On the left side of the main Mail window, find the name of your iCloud email account. If your account name is dimmed and has a lightning-bolt symbol next to it, your account is offline.
2. To take your account online, connect to the Internet.
3. Choose Mailbox. If Take All Accounts Online is dimmed, your accounts are already online.

If you still can't receive email, contact Apple Support to get more help.

You can also use Connection Doctor in the Mail app, to see what errors it may be showing as well - Use Connection Doctor in Mail on Mac

1. In the Mail app on your Mac, choose Window > Connection Doctor.
2. Review the status information.
If you’re connected to the internet, there may be a problem with the account’s mail servers or your account setup. Follow the instructions shown in the Details column. To quickly display the account in Accounts settings in Mail, double-click the text in the Details column.
To show log information while Mail tries to connect to mail servers, click Show Detail, then click Check Again.
3. When you’re done, click Check Again to verify if your actions resolved the problem.
If the problem persists, contact your email account provider to verify your account details and setup.

Thanks.

Hello Annie,

Thank you for the links in your reply but I’ve tried all of that & more already. This issue is *only* on my MacBook and it is now doing the same with my exchange email addresses (Outlook). I still have full send/receive on both my iPhone and iPad.

again this only started happening when I upgraded my MacBook to Monterrey. Was never ever an issue before that.

I may need to contact Apple at this point as there doesn’t seem to be a fix I can find anywhere. *sighs*

Again, thank you for responding. :)
