iPad hacked?
This case is unusual. My iPad 9 (16.2) has always been up to date, I've always used NordVPN, I've always used 2FA on my iCloud account with a simple cell phone specifically for that and lockdown mode that Apple has recently implemented.
The problem is that my routers with outdated firmware were hacked with my android smartphone being the forerunner because of an email link I opened thinking it would be safe.
Since then, an enemy of mine, who probably interacts with hackers, has published several hints on his twitter that explicitly allude to the iPad's private data.
I assume they have access to my photos, notes, websites I've visited... It's like they have full access to the system.
What bothers me is that I never received any notification from Apple that my account was being accessed on another device.
I have already restored the iPad several times, changed the 2FA password and phone number several times. I also downloaded an app called wifi analzyer and apparently there is nothing unusual. I blocked photos and notes that according to Apple are encrypted, but I don't know if that solves it.
Unfortunately, the ISP does not allow me to access the routers to reset and update them. The bad guys must still be on my network for sure and if my traffic is encrypted then it looks like there has been a serious security breach on the iPad.
In my layman's view, I assume that some malware was permanently installed on the iPad while I was using iPad OS 15.
what's going on?
