How do I get to Final Cut Pro. I already have a license. Can't find a way to use license for download

Hi,

How do I get Final Cut Pro. I already have a license. Can't find a place to enter it. Bought the license a while back, now ready to download but App Store only gives me option to buy again.

Downloaded the trial but find no place there to enter license and upgrade to full version

Imac 27" Monterey 12.6.2 (In the middle of a project and rather not update the os)

Login to the App Store using the AppleID you used to purchase FCP. Click on your AppleID at the bottom left of the App Store window. You should see FCP in the list.

If you're talking about a pre-installed version of FCP, here's info on accepting preinstalled FCP and Logic to your AppleID. Accept preinstalled Pro Apps on your new Mac - Apple Support

If you're talking about an Educational license, sorry, I don't have any info for that. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Your answer got me there (in a roundabout way)

I found it cleverly hidden under ¨unaccepted apps- redeem gift card¨

Not exactly intuitive since I didnt have a gift card.

I have a license, on a license agreement, with a license number.

You know, the license that doesn´t exist...

You bought a license? There is no license for FCP. You may have a redemption code. There is a redeem button in the App Store that you can use for some purchases or for gift cards.

Technically, it is not a license, it is a redemption code, as Tom said.

And yes, the wording "gift code" is really misleading.

But in the end you got it - that's the main thing.

As you are starting with FCP, feel free to ask questions here, but I do recommend some great resources to help smooth the learning curve considerably.

What is "Top Charts"?

One would usually select the account at the bottom left of the App Store window, and then click the Redeem...

Pardon me for not using the proper terminology. I purchased a Pro Bundle for Education (logic pro, compressor, Final cut pro.) when I purchased my mac. They sent me a license agreement, which includes a license number. Thats why I called it a license.

Yes there is a redemption code that I should be able to enter somewhere.

Again, the problem is I cannot find a place to enter the code. Not in the app store, not in the trial, nowhere I can find. Option to buy, yes. Enter redemption code, no

Hopefully someone here can guide me through in detail.
