Is there any way to download Voice Memos locally, outside of iCloud?

I use Voice Memos for my music files and am afraid of loosing them. Can I download them to my SSD, locally, outside of the cloud?

Voice memos location? Back up on Mac? I am a musician with 35 GB of voice recordings on my phone (iPhone 11). They span back to 2013. I recently turned on voice memos for iCloud so they are browsable on my computer (Mac Studio 2022 running Monterey) with the same recording names. When I delete one from my phone, it deletes from my computer. However, I would like to find a way to delete them from my iPhone without losing them. I have not had any luck finding the voice memos on the Music app, or locating the files in any one location. Is there a way to back up these files in a browse-able formate, keeping the names or at least the dates, so that I can delete them to make space on my phone? Where do the files go on Mac? I am afraid to lose these recordings, and its too much to back up one at a time. Thank you!

cant save voice memos to my files app (iCloud) I can’t save certain voice recordings from the voice memos app to my files app.(iCloud drive). And they’re all different sizes of files. There’s no pattern to it or reason. Any idea how to correct this?

How to bring a recording from Voice Memos on iPhone into Mac Music? Long ago, Voice Memos used to automatically appear in Music when I connected my phone to my Mac. Now I can't find the "sync voice memo" settings and music files are in the iCloud, and I can't find how to simply listen to a voice memo on my Mac (and be sure its backed up).

That's a wonderful question! There isn't a way to change where the memos in Voice Memos is stored. Apple appreciates all feedback regarding their products, services, and features.
