My MacBook updated to Windows when I tried to reset my MacBook password, how do I change it?

Restart your Mac in macOS or Windows - Apple Support


  1. Turn on or restart your Mac. If you're currently in Windows, you can restart by choosing Power from the Start menu. When your Mac begins to restart, press and hold the Option (or Alt) ⌥ key on your keyboard. Release the key when you see a window showing all available startup volumes.
  2. Select your Mac startup volume (Macintosh HD), then press Return or click the up arrow:
