If I use Migration Assistant to transfer files etc from an old Mac to a new Mac will the files still exist on the old Mac or are they deleted from the old Mac

The files are NOT deleted or modified in any way on the old Mac.


Despite the article's use of the term MOVE... your files to a new Mac, Migration Assistant follows the default 'Macintosh way', which is when files are being transferred drive to drive, the default is to COPY, not move.
