Can I use Office 365 for Mac on my system?

Its running on High Sierra 10.13.16

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.13

Nope. Microsoft requires macOS Big Sur (11.*) or later to install any currently supported Office products (365, Office 2019/2021 for Mac).


Softmaker Office 2021 for Mac (Office clone/free trial) supports High Sierra and later. This might be an easier solution to use than the free LibreOffice (also Office clone). The latter will require macOS Mojave (10.14) to receive updates after Feb 2023, and will require Catalina (10.15.7) after August 2023 for updates.
