Calories in Active energy stopped measuring months ago

So I'm doing a simple clean January challenge where I take 2-3 powerwalks each day with my dogs. I have no particular fitness app or Apple Watch, just relying on the steps measured in the Health App. Walking and running distance as well as steps walked is being measured and counted, but when looking at Active Energy, the last data was from september 2022. I have no clue why it stopped counting my active energy/calories burned.

I have enabled all location and tracking settings for Health App in settings. Health profile is up to date with my persnonal data (age, weight).

Is there something I'm missing? Currently running on iOS 16.1.1, updating to 16.2 as of now but can't see that the iOS version is the bad guy here.

Appreciate help here!

Hello ekeklonk,

That's a great question! Updating iOS is a great step that can help resolve many issues, and we're glad you had the opportunity to begin that update. If you continue to have issues after updating, you'll want to reach out to Apple so they can investigate this issue further. You can find their contact options via the link below.
