Forward slash is suddenly typing the number 7

I am using a Macbook Air M1, Monterey. I have not had any previous problems with any of the keys. About a week ago the forward slash key started to type a 7 instead of the forward slash. If I use the shift key, it still types the question mark. I do not have any shortcuts or substitutions in my keyboard settings that I can see and I am using the same US English keyboard that I have always used. I removed the keyboard and added it again, but the key still produces a 7. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Hello lost in (my own) translation,

Let's use the steps below to boot your MacBook Air into safe mode to see if that behavior still persists from there:

1. Shut down your Mac.
2. Turn on your Mac and continue to press and hold the power button until you see the startup options window.
3. Select your startup disk, then press and hold the Shift key while clicking “Continue in Safe Mode.”
4. Log in to your Mac. You might be asked to log in again.

You can also find those steps in this resource: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

It can take a few extra minutes to boot into safe mode. Your screen may flash or flicker while in safe mode. Those behaviors are expected. Testing in safe mode runs a check on your disk, removes some cached files, and can help isolate conflicts with startup items. Once you've tested that behavior in safe mode, you can restart to leave safe mode.

Should that still persist, do you experience the same behavior when using an external keyboard with your MacBook Air?

Let us know, and we'll keep moving forward from there.
