Wondering to understand or curious... when USB-C does the charging job, why magsafe3?

Some people complained on earlier models when Apple discontinued MagSafe as the only charging option and replaced it the USB-C as the only charging option. They preferred MagSafe because it is designed to automatically come loose if, for example, someone trips over the cable.
