AirPrint canon mf634cdw

Sometime around when the iOS 15 installed on my devices, I've had a peculiar problem printing to my Canon MF634Cdw printer. Air print connects and finds my printer, and allows me to set up the job and transmits it to the printer. But everything prints very lightly, light gray instead of black, light blue instead of dark blue, etc. This is happening with both my iPad 12 and my wife's, and my iPhone 11 max pro and my wife's iPhone X. Printing with my WIN10 desktop everything is as it should be. Help please!

Greetings popojay,

When using AirPrint from an iOS or iPadOS device, there aren’t a lot of settings you can change, unless you’re using an app developed by your printer manufacturer.

The following article goes over how to access some of the settings though, including a screenshot - Use AirPrint to print from your iPhone or iPad

Print with AirPrint
1. Open the app that you want to print from.
2. To find the print option, tap the app’s Share button or the Actions button.
3. Scroll down and tap the Print button or Print. If you can’t find the print option, check the app’s User Guide or Help section. Not all apps support AirPrint.
4. Tap No Printer Selected and choose an AirPrint-enabled printer.
5. Choose the number of copies or other options, like which pages you want to print.
6. Tap Print in the upper-right corner.

Is it possible that your printer has a setting within the printer itself to save ink/toner? We did find this on the Canon support site that may be worth checking on as well. Canon Knowledge Base - Adjusting the toner saver settings on the printer

Otherwise, we’re going to suggest connect with Canon via their support for additional assistance and/or exploring to see if they have an app that can help manage the printer settings from your mobile devices - Canon Support

Thanks.
