Old Email used in App Store

I can’t use the App Store on my iPhone, help!

I recently created a second Apple account, on an iPhone strictly used for business. Different email address, different password than my personal account, but I do have ‘Family Sharing’ turned on.

On my business iPhone, the iCloud account shows the correct gmail address and the new password works. But when I try to purchase on the App Store (business phone) or even UPDATE apps on the App Store, I get an error saying, “Your Apple ID (personal Yahoo address listed n parentheses) or password is incorrect.” It requires a password, won’t take my business account password, but my personal password works. How can I change the email address associated with the App Store??

Go to Settings ➡️ Account (top of Settings) ➡️ Media & Purchases ➡️ View Account and make sure the correct Apple ID is signed in there.

Also note, that any apps downloaded with one Apple ID are forever tied to it, and will require it to update always.

You would need to delete the Appa and download it with the business account to stop it from using your personal account.

Using a private e-mail address and a business e-mail address on one phone is not desirable.

A business email address is normally your name @ company name.

If possible, ask your employer for a business phone. This way you can also split invoice(s) from Apple.

Family Sharing is not intended for a private e-mail address and business email address.
