How can I delete images from my iPhone that are in a "From my Mac" folder?

I have some old photos and videos on my phone that I haven't been able to delete. I tried connecting to my Mac, deleting every photo on my phone but nothing seems to work.

iPhone 13 mini, iOS 16

Hey there Liquid999,

Upon researching your question, we were able to find some details that pertain to what you're asking in the first two paragraphs under 'Delete photos or videos' in this link: Delete photos on your iPhone or iPad

  1. Have you already taken the steps listed under the section we pointed out in the above link?
  2. What exactly happens when you do try deleting those photos while your iPhone is connected to your Mac? the more details you provide, the better we'll understand what occurs when you try.
  3. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart. Check out Restart your iPhone and the section ‘Restart your Mac' here: Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac
  4. If you have a compatible Mac model, the latest version is macOS 13.1. You can verify this by clicking on the Apple logo at the top left corner of the screen, then on ‘About This Mac’. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then Update macOS on Mac.
  5. We see you have iOS 16 installed, but the latest version is iOS 16.2. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then Update your iPhone or iPad.

Cheers!
