can not text to android

Can not text from new iphone 14 to any android devices. All settings in messages are on; I just did the update.

You may not have an SMS plan enabled by your carrier for the SIM/eSIM that you use on your device. Apple Inc does not provide SMS services.

iPad texting to Android not working My iPad can not longer text android phones. I have gone through the settings and forwarded messages from my iPhone to my iPad, but there isn't an equivalent setting to sent them from iPad to iPhone. Also on the iPhone there is a setting under messages to "Send as SMS" the iPad does NOT have this setting. I am guessing this is the problem.
