Countdown Timer of Video Playing in the slide

Is it possible to get a countdown timer of your video, in the presenter view.

so you can see how long the video is running during your presentation.


Would be great!

There is a built in timer in Keynote


  • Go to: Play > Customise presenter Display
  • click in the Timer selection box to make the timer active
  • select Remaining option
  • triple click in the remaining time entry box and enter the duration of the video eg 12 minutes, then click OK




Play the presentation, when you show the slide with the video, press the R key on the keyboard to start the countdown timer from 12 minutes, it will end at 00:00
