fsroot tree corruption, two files

After a recent bad shut down, I ran a Disk Utility First Aid check of my startup partition. I found the following error:

Checking the fsroot tree.

error: doc-id tree: record exists for doc-id 798, file-id 173482675 but no inode references this doc-id

error: doc-id tree: record exists for doc-id 807, file-id 182981904 but no inode references this doc-id

Checking the extent ref tree

Verifying volume object map space.

The volume /dev/rdisk3s2 was found to be corrupt and needs to be repaired.

Verifving allocated space

Performing deferred repairs.

This warning occurs still after Disk Utility First Aid claims to have repaired the disk.

How do I find the offending files which are identified only by doc-id and file-id to see what they are and delete them.

Check to see if disk drive /dev/rdisk3 reports a smart status verify on drive, if it reports failing or failed, backup data with time machine asap.

To check drives do the following;

Goto the Apple Menu on top left,

tab on About this Mac

then system report from that window

when report shows up,

select the interface your drive is connected by.

Either thunderbolt or usb

then select each disk that shows up on right of that disk and see if smart status is verified in that window

supercondr,

Thanks for the response. I did what you suggested and all of the partitions on my 4TB ssd internal drive are listed as verified. Does this indicate that the drive and the contained partitions are OK?

I have three redundant Retrospect backups and am currently doing a TimeMachine backup.

For the future, I have some trepidation about how to use the Retrospect backups because the Startup drive/partition is where the Retrospect server is running from, and that software would not be available if I were to reformat the partition.

Thanks for your help.

Can I use any of the other partitions to load a basic Mac OS (Ventura) with Retrospect installed on it and rebuild the Startup partition from there?

yes the drives and partitions should be ok, do you have any other drives attached than internal, check those too for verified on Smart Status

For your other questions, they are probably questions Apple Support should answer.
