Voice Memo record button doesnt work


Voice memo on Apple watch 7 does not work - Apple Community


I have same problem. Restart didn't help, unpair/pair didn't help.


When I press record button furiously many times, it starts recording. Though it is hard to stop pressing the record button at right moment because of response lag and because of that I stop the recording immediately. Horrible issue especially because only reason I have apple watch is voice memos. Previous series 3 worked well. SE do not work.


Any idea how to fix it?

I have the same SE2022 watch and voice memos work flawlessly.

 

First force restart the Watch

i.e. press and hold both the side button

and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, then release both buttons

when you see the Apple logo.

 

Then, although it may seem irrelevant, Force Restart the paired

iphone   Force restart iPhone – Apple Support

(UK)

 

If it is still misbehaving...

 

 Unpair and erase your Apple Watch

and then

Set up your Apple Watch

 If no better you may want to unpair then set up without restoring the

backup.

You may also want to make sure the software on the watch is up to date.

Update your Apple Watch. - Watch should be on OS9.2 and iPhone on iOS16.2
