Downtime GLITCH re kids phones

For starters, I know how to use the downtime function WELL. I know all about the settings, the passcodes, whether or not my kids can purchase apps, whether or not they can delete apps, ALL OF THE SETTINGS. So please do not give me an answer about how to set up downtime, or what I might be doing wrong. I am doing nothing wrong. THERE IS A GLITCH in the downtime function. It shuts off AT RANDOM, resets completely, and gives the kids full access to everything again.

If you google this issue, you will see, it is ALL over the internet. And it has been an ongoing issue for YEARS. What is going on? And what is Apple doing to fix this?

Again, this is not a matter of “troubleshooting.” I know alllllllll the tricks, so I can always get the screen time function to work again. I just want the glitch to STOP HAPPENING in the first place. How many customers have to complain about this before Apple acknowledges there is an internal glitch? I have wondered if it could possibly be related to TikTok or Roblox? Maybe these apps are purposely trying to circumvent Apple’s safety precautions? I don’t know. What I DO know is, it keeps happening (AT RANDOM), and “troubleshooting” (on my end) is not an acceptable solution.

I agree with the OP. I love Apple and all the products, but this is SUPER frustrating. I can't even tell you how long I spend re-doing everything because it gets reset so often! I too want to know if there is a fix on the product side. This is not user error.

I agree with the original post. My kid showed me how he turns logs into his phone and asks for one more minute on a game and it magically reverts all downtime settings to default….meaning nothing is blocked and downtime is turned off. Maybe There is a glitch with the setting asking for one more minute?
