Could you please consider allowing pdf files to be attached as an icon and not embedded in the body of the email?

All attachments are attachments. The inline/embed is merely a suggestion for the recipient's email browser. If their email client cannot handle the inline position of an attachment, it doesn't support internet email standards. You can try using the send Windows friendly option or tell the recipient to download the attachment before trying to open it.
I think that only if the pdf is more than 1 page then it is an icon. It has been this way for a long time.
