The do not turn white, it stays amber

What do I do if the AirPods do not turn white. It is a replacement AirPods and it stays blinking amber

Hi A_lm,


In the article which you posted from Set up your replacement AirPods or charging case is the following note:


"* If the status light still flashes amber, connect the case to power, close the lid, and wait 20 minutes. Then open the lid and press and hold the setup button again for a few seconds until the status light flashes white."


Should those steps still not remedy the behavior you're experiencing, use Get Support to review and discuss next steps with Apple directly.
