How do I stop my emails from deleting on my Macbook Pro when I delete them on my MacBook air?

IMAP email accounts are synchronized across the email server and all devices accessing the IMAP email account. If you want to keep an email on a device you must download the email into a folder on your device outside the synchronized email folders.
