HOW TO ERASE IMAC 2013 WITH CATALINA OS TO FACTORY SETTINGS

I need to wipe clean all on a iMac desktop with catalina os

Directions online do not apply to this iMac from 2013

Please carefully follow the directions in What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac


If you intend to keep the Mac follow the same directions.


Before you do ANYTHING at all though verify you have a completed Time Machine backup of your system.


Also, if you intend to keep the Mac doing a fresh install is almost always a complete waste of time. That brings up the question, why do you feel a fresh install is necessary?
