With watch and iPhone updated to 9.2 & 16.2 watch weather will not mirror my iPhone as it is configured to do. The watch shows only my local location, Cupertino and New York. The latter two locations are not on the list on my iPhone. This is a recent occurrence I am unable to correct. Anyone else in this boat? How do I correct this.

I finally got some tech support from Apple. After trying many different things, We found that in my phone settings, my weather app did not have location settings on. When I switched to using location services on my phone weather settings, the Watch updated. Hope this helps someone else out there!

Same here. It seemed to happen either when I signed into a new Mac computer or had an update to my watch. I have a gen 7 Apple Watch and iPhone 12 mini. Whether on watch Cupertino and New York, and on IPhone all the cities I have added.

Did you do anything? I’m still stuck with Cupertino! I’m glad I don’t live there. 50’s every day and lots of rain…flood warnings too. I thought the weather in Cali was supposed to be perfect year round!
Mine has resolved as well, spontaneously after flying from Detroit to Houston! My list is restored on my watch but with some entries in duplicate and New York and Cupertino are gone! The issue occurred after traveling to Michigan for a visit and resolved upon return. More local changes in location do not induce this effect.
YES! Thank you! I was going crazy trying to get off Cupertino time, and every time I would manually add cities myself to make it match my phone, it would revert back on its own about a day later.
Updating the location settings for the Weather App on my iPhone to "Always On" from "Never" finally fixed things and it worked immediately!
I tried turning on location services as you outlined, but it didn't work for me. I've done hard resets, I've unpaired and re-paired the watch, with location services turned on on both iPhone and the watch. No resolution for me... I still see Cupertino and New York, although now I at least see my city as my current location. But none of my other cities show up. VERY frustrating.
I had to delete Cupertino from the watch weather app and immediately all of my local iPhone weather locations were restored. I had experienced this issue for a month or two. Very annoying bug, Apple still needs to resolve this.
I've tried everything I can think of and cannot fix this. I have not called apple support yet, but plan to do so when I get a minute.
All locations of mine came back but in triplicate and this lasted several days. Today only single for each location, but order changed. Guess this May fix itself with patience, but who knows.

After updating location services on iPhone tap the temperature on your watch face and it will sync
Mine had this too, however, once I deleted Cupertino then it updated and mirrored my iPhone.
