how to connect my iPhone to my MacBook without the right connections

How do I connect my phone to my computer to back it up or is there another way without having to connect it. It seems everything on my phone is also on my computer. Does that mean its backed up?

iPhone 12, iOS 15

Backing up an iPhone to a Mac in the truest sense requires connecting them to each other with a suitable cable. To learn how to do that please read Back up and restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or to iCloud - Apple Support.

Choose the correct selection:

  • Select "Back up all of the data on your [device] to this Mac" to store backups on your Mac.
