Why is this still happening. When the last message in each message is deleted it should bring it down the list accordingly to that date and not leave the message at the top of the list. Apple please fix this bug. Was not like this before

If your deleted messages are coming back, you'll want to make sure you've covered the basics like restarting the device and making sure it's up to date.
You'll also want to make sure you've cleared the message out of the Recently Deleted folder to permanently delete it.
1. In Messages, tap Edit.
2. Tap Show Recently Deleted.
3. Select Delete All to clear the folder.
