Hi there Dhdk,

Once you start typing, you should see the Send button (blue icon with the upward white arrow) appear to send an iMessage. If you'd like, you can read more about that below:

"Send a message on your iPhone or iPad

  1. Open Messages.
  2. Tap the Compose button  to start a new message. Or go to an existing conversation.
  3. Type your message, then tap the Send button send message button.

With iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 and later, you can also use inline replies and mentions to call attention to specific messages and people within the messages."

That information, and more, can be found here: Use Messages on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If you aren't seeing the Send button appear after you start typing your message, you could try restarting your iPad. Restarting will refresh the iPadOS, which can sometimes help resolve unexpected issues. If needed, the steps below show how:

"How to restart an iPad without a Home button

  1. Press and hold either volume button and the top button until the power off slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
  3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo."

Those steps (including for restart steps for iPad devices with a Home button) are from this article: Restart your iPad - Apple Support

Take care!
