iPhone 14 Pro storage issues

Having trouble with storage on iphone 14 pro with 128 GB memory. My

storage is mostly taken up with 94 GB from photos / videos. Settings for

icloud storage are set to "Optimize iPhone storage". I am not

necessarily surprised as we have over 60,000 pictures and videos, but

here's the oddity: my wife has a 13 pro and uses the same apple id as I

(i know one should not do that but so far that's the easiest way to

share all pictures between the two of us that is easy, but that's a

different topic...) and looking at her phone this morning, the number of

pictures and videos in the Photos app are the exact same then I see on

my phone and the Settings for the photo up in Settings are the exact

same too, but here Storage info shows only 14GB of her memory is taken

up by photos? How can that be? is there something wrong with my phone?

Am having trouble also to see in the Settings - General - iphone storage

to see any details when I click on Photos or Messages to see what is

there?
