My focus mode will not turn off and I can not receive any notifications

Focus mode turned on some how after the iOS 15 update. Will not turn off. Can’t receive notifications. Always says I have on do not disturb when someone else sends a message. About to get rid of iPhones.

iPhone 13, iOS 16

Swipe down to the control center, and press the focus button in order to turn focus off
