Guides on maps disappeared

Hi,

All my guides on maps disappeared after years of curation. I read another post that said not having enough storage would be the cause for it, but that the guides would come back after making storage. My guides never came back. I deleted the app when I noticed they were gone (in an attempt to restore it) but maybe that made things worse?

I contacted apple support and they couldn’t help me so I’m here.

PLEASE how do i get my guides back? this is heartbreaking :(

Just wanted to let you know this happened to me as well, probably the same time. Years of saving points of interest around the world gone.

Logged into iCloud to see if there is hope of restoration but it looks bleak. There is no maps icon. Even my home and work locations were completely gone. I had to reconnect my contact card to my Apple ID.
